Anritsu introduces the portable Field Master™ MS2070A spectrum analyzers, which provide performance and a proven, reliable platform of the Anritsu Field Master family at an economical price. With the necessary functions and performance up to 3 GHz, the MS2070A performs reliable and accurate RF measurements in a variety of field, laboratory and general-purpose production environments.
With a dynamic range of >105 dB at 2.4GHz, a typical DANL with an integrated additional preamp of -167 dBm, combined with a third-order intersection point (TOI) of +11 dBm and a typical level error of ±0.5 dB, provides a full range of signals to be analyzed by a portable spectrum analyzer.
The MS2070A is designed for standard spectrum analysis with a sweep up to 3 GHz. It provides scan speeds of up to 32 GHz/s in conventional low-noise configurations. A number of "intelligent" measurements, including occupied bandwidth (OBW), channel power and adjacent channel power (ACP), are standard for the Field Master MS2070A.
A wide range of standard functions
The Field Master MS2070A provides many features typically found in more expensive devices. The zero range displays TDD and pulse signals with a narrow resolution band (RBW) from 10 Hz to 5 MHz for accurate power measurements over time. Spectrograms are also the standard for accurate detection of intermittent interference.
Designed to work in harsh environments
The rugged battery-powered Field Master MS2070A has an IP52 environmental protection rating when it is in the soft case included in the package. Protection of the RF input at the level of 5 W protects the device from accidental excess power.
The portable spectrum analyzer is also equipped with a robust 10-inch display with IK08 protection class and a resolution of 1280x700s, which displays measurement results in large and clear formats.
The MS2070A measures 290x212x96 (mm) and weighs 3.8 kg. The compact size and light weight make it easy to transport the portable analyzer to remote sites.
Ethernet and USBTMC interfaces are standard for the MS2070A Field Master. The 802.11b/g/a/n Wi-Fi interface is available as an option to connect to wireless routers for common applications, including downloading digital maps and automatic software updates.
Use in the field and indoors
The Field Master MS2070A can be used for a variety of field applications. It can carry out basic testing of transmitters, as well as interference detection. Cellular network operators can also configure the MS2070A using the PIM module to search for PIM. In laboratory and production environments where portability and free space are important, the MS2070A can be used for standard RF measurements.
