Anritsu is proud to announce the release of the new integrated MA24103A power sensor, which is designed to accurately measure peak and RMS power in the range from 25 MHz to 1 GHz and from 2 MW to 150 Watts.

Some applications require accurate measurements of peak and average power well below the 1 GHz frequency range. Public security services, avionics (air traffic control stations and repair stations), railways, etc. must maintain important communications between control centers and vehicles. The slightest error in measuring or maintaining the communication network in these markets can endanger public safety or even lead to fatal consequences.

The advantage of using lower frequencies is that they can be transmitted over a longer distance and maintain communication with fast-moving vehicles. Typically, at low frequencies, the transmitted signal power is several watts, which makes the MA24103A more suitable for such applications.

This high-precision integrated peak power sensor connects to a PC via USB or to an Anritsu portable device equipped with a high-precision power meter (option 19).

The main markets that benefit from this low-frequency integrated power sensor include:

Broadcast Network and Manufacturer: Accurate laboratory performance and low insertion loss over a wide temperature range (0°C to 55°C), making it ideal for field applications.

Railways: To evaluate various systems such as train control systems, end-of-movement (EOT) signals, automated train control systems and FM voice base stations.

Avionics: for example, in civil and military airports for testing beacons, surveillance radars, locators and markers.
